Welcome to the UMW Geog 101 blog

September 17, 2007

Welcome to the (very experimental) World Regional Geography blog. The goal of this blog is to provide a forum for discussion of the issues raised in Geog 101 (World Regional Geography) at the University of Mary Washington. I will use this space to post links to sources of information and opinion related to our class discussions, and to offer my own musings on issues related to the subject matter of the course. I hope that students in the class will post their thoughts and responses too.  I welcome and encourage any input from interested visitors who are not members of the class.

The course materials for Geog 101 — syllabus, course schedule, quiz information, and the like — are not on this site. They are on the main course web site.

I must confess that this blog has a second and much more selfish purpose. It’s a way for me to learn about blogging, something I have never attempted before. So be warned, I really don’t know what I’m doing here, and I need all the help and guidance I can get!
